5K Run/Walk
The Pearls of Hope Foundation, Inc. hosts an annual 5K run/walk. The 15th 5K Run/Walk was held on October 1, 2023. Any funds raised are donated to assist people and/or organizations within New Castle County, DE.
Sickle Cell Tennis Classic
The Pearls of Hope Foundation, Inc. and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Zeta Omega Chapter previously hosted an annual Sickle Cell Tennis Classic. The 44th tennis classic was held on August 7-11, 2021.
Our organizations partnered with Alfred I. DuPont hospital's sickle cell program and donated the funds raised through the Tennis Classic to this effort. Over $315,000 has been donated from hosting the Tennis Classic. We were proud to be able to assist a local sickle cell program.
