Scholarships
The 2026 Scholarship applications are now open!
All applications are due by April 30, 2026 by 11:59pm.
Scholarship Criteria:

Must be a high school junior or senior

Both females and males are eligible
-

Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better
-
Must submit an official transcript
-
Must submit a letter of recommendation from a member of the agency/organization where you performed volunteer service
-
This must not be a relative
-

Must submit an essay detailing your experience providing community service and why it is important to you.
Scholarship Criteria:

Must be a female high school senior

Must live in New Castle County, DE
-
Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better
-
Must submit an official transcript

Must be planning to attend a Historically Black College or University (HBCU)
-
Must be planning to major in one of the following areas:
-
Behavioral science, counseling, human services, psychology, social science, social services, social work, or sociology

Must submit one letter of recommendation from a school representative or a member of an agency/organization where you performed volunteer service
-
This must not be a relative
-

Must submit an essay expressing why you selected your major and how you will utilize your degree to help people in underrepresented communities
Scholarship Criteria:

Must be a female matriculating full-time at an accredited Historically Black College or University (HBCU) listed:
-
These institutions include Cheyney University, Lincoln University, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, and Delaware State University

Must be a current sophomore or junior
-
Must have a cumulative average of 3.0

Must submit an official transcript with GPA

Must be emailed directly from the Registrar's office

Must submit an essay explaining how the applicant's leadership skills were shown in an activity which occurred in the last twelve months to the present

Include photos or video showing proof
-
Essay should not exceed one page
-

Must submit one letter of recommendation from a representative of the applicant's current college/university or a member of an agency/organization where you performed this service.

This must not be a relative

Must submit an essay describing why you wish to obtain a college education and why you are deserving of a scholarship.

Please also include information detailing your community service work focused on uplifting and positively impacting the urban community.
